2024 Race Matters Seminar

Hilton Baltimore Inner Harbor Hotel, Baltimore, MD - 12.5 Credits

Agenda Faculty CLE Hotel Exhibitor/Sponsor Scholarships Pricing Register Online Register by PDF

Race Matters...in EVERY criminal case.

As part of being effective advocates for our clients, criminal defense practitioners face the challenge of confronting the difficult issues presented by race in America, and its court system. Race affects what happens in every criminal case, beginning with the initial police encounter on the street and the media attention, to pre-trial litigation, and throughout a trial.

NACDL invites you to experience this powerful and illuminating annual event, which will be hosted in Baltimore, MD, at the Hilton Baltimore Inner Harbor Hotel.

We hope you will join us to learn and enhance your ability to achieve new successes for your clients.

SPECIAL ATTENDEE BENEFIT!

The Maryland Center for History and Culture, formerly the Maryland Historical Society, is offering free admission to ALL NACDL Registrants for their current exhibit: "Passion and Purpose, Voices of Maryland’s Civil Right’s Activists" , which recounts the lived experiences of Maryland activists who were, and are, part of the continuing fight for civil rights in Maryland and the nation.

Instructions: Simply show your conference name badge to gain entry.

Description:
Body-worn cameras can be a great tool for criminal justice, promising transparency and greater police accountability. But there’s a problem, and a big one: they generate sooo much footage.

See how new AI-based tools are helping criminal defense attorneys and public defenders save time and achieve better case outcomes. We’ll show you how you can:
•    Transcribe and manage hours of audio and video evidence,
•    Review, search, and analyze your evidence to narrow down to the important moments.
•    Translate footage from one language to another
•    Create video exhibits to bring evidence to life in court
•    Redact unwanted content

All using tools that are as simple as Google Docs to use.
