United States v. Butler and Wilson

Defendant Wilson is alleged to have elbowed a DC police officer after being told to move back from a crowd of people and Defendant Butler is alleged to have slapped a DC police officer who ordered her to move away from the police car in which Wilson was being held. The cases were subsequently dismissed with prejudice, with the Magistrate Judge issuing a memorandum opinion criticizing the government for the unprecedented manner in which the cases had been handled.
