NACDL Board Resolution Recognizing and Remembering Ralph Timothy “Tim” Evans

The Board of Directors adopted a resolution to recognize and remember Ralph Timothy "Tim" Evans.

 

The NACDL Board of Directors recognizes, remembers, and honors former Board member Ralph Timothy “Tim” Evans of Fort Worth, Texas, a longtime NACDL member, board member, former President of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and exemplary trial attorney, and his:

  • Tireless commitment to the mission of NACDL;
  • Devotion to serving as dean of the Tim Evans Criminal Trial College in Texas, mentoring trial attorneys, and improving the legal profession;
  • Steadfast friendship, quick wit, and generosity with his time, talents, and resources;
  • Demonstrations of courtesy, scholarship, and skill in client representation and advocacy at the highest level;
  • Success in winning many acquittals for clients;
  • Induction into the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association Hall of Fame in 2007, and receipt of the highest honor bestowed by the Tarrant County Bar Association, the Blackstone Award, in 2011; and
  • His legacy exemplified through the people whom he helped, the lawyers he trained, and the family and many friends whom he loved and who carry his memory.

BE IT RESOLVED this 17th day of February 2024 in Las Vegas, Nevada, that the Board of Directors of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers recognizes, remembers, and honors the extraordinary brilliance, dedication, good works, and talent of Ralph Timothy “Tim” Evans as consummate defense lawyer and gentleman, mentor, family man, cherished friend, and colleague.
