United States v. Coburn and Schwartz

Defendants, the President and Executive Vice-President of a large technology services company were indicted for Foreign Corrupt Practice Act violations in 2019 relating to an alleged $2 million bribe to an Indian government official to secure a planning permit for an office park. After more than six years of litigation and on the eve of trail, the government moved to dismiss the prosecution based on President Trump's Executive Order Pausing Foreign Corrupt Practices Act Enforcement.
