NACDL Board Resolution Recognizing and Remembering Aric M. Cramer

The Board of Directors adopted a resolution to recognize and remember Aric M. Cramer.

The NACDL Board of Directors recognizes, remembers, and honors Utah attorney, life member, and former board member Aric M. Cramer, and his:

  • Dedication and service to NACDL;
  • Leadership on NACDL’s Council of Affiliates, Indigent Defense Committee, and Board of Directors, where he served for six years.
  • Commitment to indigent defense and capital case representation as a death-penalty contract attorney with the Capital Indigent Defense Fund of Utah;
  • Zealous advocacy in state and federal courts at the trial and appellate levels across southern Utah in areas of criminal law including drug charges, DUI charges, fraud, violent crimes, sex crimes, theft, and federal crimes;
  • Devotion to fighting over-criminalization in Southern Utah;
  • Founding of a chapter of the American Inns of Courts in 2004, and service as its counselor from 2006-07;
  • Service on as a board member and past president of the Utah Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers; and
  • Friendship, compassion, selflessness, and support of his colleagues in the Defense Bar.

BE IT RESOLVED this 17th day of February 2024 in Las Vegas, Nevada, that the Board of Directors of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers recognizes, remembers, and honors the generosity of spirit and dedication to justice of former board member Aric M. Cramer as a fierce advocate, zealous defender, devoted colleague, and loyal friend.
