Here are some helpful tips to keep you from overstepping the volunteers' generosity:
Identify yourself.
Be upfront about the nature of your question, and reference the Mentor for a Moment Directory.
Respect the volunteer's time. Limit calls to 10 or fewer minutes. Keep emails or messages short and to the point. At the volunteer's discretion, you may arrange a longer consultation.
It is inappropriate to seek legal advice for yourself as a client.
