United States v. Kevin L. Geddings

The District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina ordered the government to submit a memo of law addressing the effect of Skilling on post-conviction relief for Geddings. The government motion concedes that Geddings’ conviction should be vacated and moves for immediate release. The Court ordered immediate release of Geddings pending resolution of the post-conviction motion. On August 27, 2010, U.S. District Court Judge James Dever III vacated the 2006 conviction and ordered the government to repay Geddings’ $25,000 fine.
