United States v. Parias

Defendant, a person who had been filming ICE operations in LA, was being arrested on an outstanding immigration warrant when he was shot by ICE officers after allegedly using his car to ram the government vehicles that had boxed him in. Because he was kept in immigration detention and denied the ability to consult with counsel during critical periods, the Judge dismissed his case with prejudice days prior to trial.
