United States v. Charles

The defendant, an attorney for Lambda Legal who filed a civil complaint on behalf of transgender individuals, was indicted for making a false statement during a judicial inquiry into whether he had called the chambers of a judge different than one to which the case he had filed was assigned. The indictment was dismissed, but the order dismissing the indictment is under seal.
