United States v. Aljorna and Sosa-Celis

Defendants, one of whom allegedly was trying to escape the grasp of an immigration enforcement agent, allegedly struck the agent with a broom handle and a shovel numerous times, after which the officer shot one of the defendants in the leg.  After the sword assertions in the Complaint and the testimony offered at the preliminary hearing turned out to be untrue, the government moved to dismiss both cases with prejudice, which the Court granted.
