NACDL13th president, George A. Aronson, died on January 11, 2007. Aronson was a founding member of the Association, and served as its president from 1971-1972. He retired in 1998 after a distinguished career at Aronson, Fineman and Davis Co., LPA in East Liverpool, Ohio.
A resolution, adopted by the Columbiana County Bar Association, noted that Aronson “had a love of lawyers and the practice of law” and treated all judges and lawyers with respect, civility, and dignity. He was president of his county bar association from 1981-1982, and was well-known in multiple states in which he appeared pro hac vice to try jury trials in criminal, civil, personal injury, and wrongful death cases.
“George was a very proud member of NACDL,” Joseph L. Ludovici, a member of Aronson’s firm, wrote in a recent letter to the Association. He added that Aronson “promoted the Association to all attorneys, and is the reason I have been a member since I began practicing law.”
