I have been a Federal Criminal Defense Attorney in Tampa and Chicago since 1989. MDFL, NDIL, DCDC, CDIL, SDFL, NDFL, SDIL. I have been lead counsel on forty-four Federal jury trials. I have also been lead counsel on thirty Fifth, Seventh, and Eleventh Circuit Appeals briefs. I also practice in Florida and Illinois State Courts. After earning his Bachelor of Arts at the University of Buffalo and his Juris Doctor from John Marshall Law School, Richard Portale served as an Assistant District Attorney to the Westchester County’s DA Office for five years. While he started out in Motions and Appeals, he quickly moved up to the Grand Jury and then to Gangs and Narcotics. Afterwards, he started working with Duffy, Duffy & Burdo, LLP and then eventually established his own criminal defense practice.
