Biography
JoEllyn L. Jones, Esq. is the Founding Attorney of the Law Office of JoEllyn L. Jones LLC, (Bridgeton, NJ) where she practices holistic criminal defense, restorative justice, and reentry advocacy. She also serves as a Practitioner in Residence at the Seton Hall University School of Law Center for Social Justice, leading community-based initiatives focused on legal education, expungement, and reentry services. She is barred to practice in NJ State and Federal courts as well as the US Supreme Court.Â

A nationally recognized advocate for justice reform, she serves on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, is President of the Association of Black Women Lawyers of New Jersey and is a Trustee of the Cumberland County Bar
Association. She is a founding member and Board Chair Dream Catchers of Gouldtown. She is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. She is also a former member of the New Jersey Governor's Clemency Advisory Board, where she helped review more than 1,400 clemency applications.

She earned her B.A. from Rowan University, her J.D. from Widener University Delaware Law
School, and her M.S. in Restorative Justice, with distinction, from Vermont Law and Graduate School. Throughout her career, she has remained committed to advancing racial and gender equity, expanding access to justice, and strengthening communities through compassionate, client-centered advocacy.
