Concerning Malpractice Insurance

That the Board of Directors of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF CRIMINAL DEFENSE LAWYERS authorizes that the national office obtain quotes and purchase a policy of malpractice insurance to cover the volunteer lawyers who act on behalf of the Ethics, Indigent Defense and Lawyers Assistance Committees at an annual premium not to exceed $2000.00 per year.

WHEREAS it is necessary from time to time to call on our members to act as representatives of the Ethics, Indigent Defense and Lawyers Assistance Committees of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF CRIMINAL DEFENSE LAWYERS, and

WHEREAS the insurance currently carried by the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF CRIMINAL DEFENSE LAWYERS does not cover its members for such activities.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:

That the Board of Directors of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF CRIMINAL DEFENSE LAWYERS authorizes that the national office obtain quotes and purchase a policy of malpractice insurance to cover the volunteer lawyers who act on behalf of the Ethics, Indigent Defense and Lawyers Assistance Committees at an annual premium not to exceed $2000.00 per year.
