Puzzling Out the Immigration Consequences of Various Criminal Convictions Part III

The United States has entered into mutual treaties with a number of different countries, including Mexico, Canada, many countries in Latin America and Asia, and all of the European Economic Community countries, to transfer prisoners who have final convictions in a country where they are not citizens to serve their sentences in the prisons of their country of citizenship. The sentence imposed by the sentencing country is to be honored by the receiving country, but carried out according to the laws of the receiving country.
