In the same year, and again in 2016, she was named a criminal defense Rising Star in New York by Super Lawyers®. In 2014, she was selected by The National Trial Lawyers as a Top 100 Trial Lawyer. Previously, as a law student and after graduation, Lewis worked with the Innocence Project to exonerate clients convicted of felonies, such as rape and murder, on the basis of DNA evidence.
Lewis is an active member of NACDL, the Federal Bar Council, where she serves on their Sentencing and Alternatives to Incarceration Committee, and the New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
