Tieber named “Lawyer of the Year”
Criminal Defense Attorneys of Michigan President F. Martin Tieber was recently selected by the Michigan Lawyers Weekly as
one of its eleven “Lawyers of the Year” for 2002. According to the
paper, Tieber “accomplished a lifetime of work in a single year.”
Tieber’s long career at the State Appellate Defender Office (SADO), his
work with the CDAM and the Thomas M. Cooley Law School’s Innocence
Project were all cited as contributing factors in the decision to honor
him.
CCDB honors Nugent
The Colorado Criminal Defense Bar will present the Jonathan Olom Award
to Ed Nugent of Grand Junction, Colorado, at its upcoming banquet. Each
year, the CCDB presents the award to a Colorado criminal defense
attorney who has shown extraordinary dedication and achievement without
regard for personal gain. For more information, contact CCDB President
