A Message From NACDL’s Treasurer: Spread the Word!

In a profession that’s all about words and principles, numbers have little appeal. But for NACDL, numbers are an important piece of the story that will support and further our individual and collective missions. The story is about continued support, assistance, and collegiality — a question, an answer, an assist, a referral — and the more members NACDL has, the more we all benefit. Our numbers enhance our advocacy efforts in the legislative, executive, and judicial arenas. Our strength is in our numbers, a growing and sustaining membership, providing resources, benefits, and unparalleled assistance for our member practitioners and our clients.
You may be surprised to learn that NACDL is primarily funded by three revenue streams:
- Membership dues revenue;
- Non-dues revenue such as CLE programs, publications, and product sales; and
- Funding support, including external grants and internal fundraising.
How can we get stronger and what can you do to help?
