Daniel Weir

Counsel for Special Projects and Foundation Manager

Daniel Weir ensures implementation of and compliance with grant-supported projects managed by the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Foundation for Criminal Justice. In addition, he assists in the identification and procurement of support for projects consistent with the mission of the NFCJ and NACDL. He manages NACDL's Capital Case Litigation Initiative, and supports the Task Force on Risk Assessment Tools, the Bylaws Committee, and the Nominating Committee. In addition, he manages regular governance processes, supervises NACDL's information and automation systems administration, as well as other policy and operational tasks and responsibilities.

Prior to joining NACDL, Daniel managed the policy research and national campaign work at The Justice Project. He holds a JD from the George Mason University School of Law and an MA in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia, and is admitted to the bar of the District of Columbia.

In his volunteer pursuits, Daniel serves on Arlington County's Planning Commission.
