Tim Zerillo is a candidate for Director in NACDL's 2022 election, nominated by the Nominating Committee.
I have been active in NACDL since 2018. I am also a Past President of the Maine Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (MACDL), where I continue to serve as Chair of the MACDL CLE Committee. I am in my first term on the Board of NACDL, serving as a representative and the Chair of the Council of Affiliates.
I believe in the importance of this organization and have remained active in efforts to grow NACDL. I am the Vice-Chair of the Membership Committee, where we have been successful in growing membership in the midst of a pandemic. While I am just a small part of that success, I look forward to continuing to push to grow NACDL as we move forward. I expect to become a Co-Chair of Membership sometime in 2022.
In addition, I have tried to promote NACDL’s interest by submitting articles on Medium.com, and by speaking at NACDL CLE events. In 2020, I spoke at the NACDL’s Modern Drug Cases Seminar on the topic of “Representing Clients in the Cannabis Industry: The Changing Regulatory Landscape.” I am expecting to speak at the Sex Crimes Seminar this November on “Attacking Electronic Evidence In Digital Searches.”
In sum, I am appreciative of my time in leadership of this important organization. I hope to be elected to the full Board for another term, and to continue to assist in any way that I can.
