Miami Attorney Susan K. Bozorgi Elected to Board of National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers

Washington, DC (Nov. 6, 2012) – Susan K. Bozorgi was elected and sworn in as a member of the NACDL Board of Directors at its fall Board Meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana, on October 27, 2012.

An NACDL member since 1998, Ms. Bozorgi serves on NACDL’s Membership Committee and is chair of the association’s Women Membership Task Force. The task force is working toward developing community building opportunities for women lawyers in a way that includes both men and women. In furtherance of that goal, Ms. Bozorgi’s firm is sponsoring an NACDL Women in Criminal Defense event in Miami, Florida on November 8, 2012, for women in private practice and in both state and federal public defender offices. She has previously served on the board of directors of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Miami Chapter.  

Ms. Bozorgi is a 1991 graduate of American University and a 1994 graduate, cum laude, of the University of Miami School of Law. She is the Managing Partner of her law practice – Marrero Bozorgi, PL -- in Miami, Florida. Her firm represents clients from investigation through trial and her practice has as its emphasis white-collar criminal defense. She has handled more than 100 jury trials to verdict.
