A limited number of full and partial scholarships will be available, based upon need, for State or Federal Defenders and CJA Panel Attorneys.
Before requesting a scholarship, all interested parties must first submit an application to attend the seminar and receive an approval.
Partial Scholarship: Based on need, scholarships are available to NACDL Members who are in private practice for up to 50% off the standard seminar fee of $2,300. Approved recipients are responsible for the remainder of the tuition fee, which is $1,150. Reduced scholarship fee includes seminar tuition, seminar materials, and admission to all related events. Travel, hotel, and other costs are not included.
Full Scholarship: Based on need, full scholarships are available to NACDL members who are State and Federal Public Defenders and CJA Panel Lawyers. Waived registration fees include seminar tuition, seminar materials, and admission to all related events. Travel, hotel, and other costs are not included.
A current NACDL Membership and Pre-Approval to attend the college are REQUIRED to be eligible for consideration of a scholarship. If you are not a current member, you will need to join prior to submitting your scholarship application.
To apply for any of the available scholarships, please click on the link below to complete the application and send an accompanying letter of no more than two pages expressing interest and the reason you believe you should receive the grant. All applications must be submitted before registering for the seminar and received by February 14, 2014. Scholarship recipients are responsible for the remainder of the tuition fee when applicable (all other expenses are not included).
