Ian Nawalinski

Public Affairs and Communications Assistant

Ian Nawalinski serves as a Public Affairs and Communications Assistant at NACDL and provides support to all of NACDL’s communications work, including assistance to NACDL's White Collar and Overcriminalization initiatives. He also manages the social media component of NACDL's Campaign to End Overcriminalization.

Ian studied communications and journalism and earned his undergraduate degree in communications from West Chester University, with most of his undergraduate studies at the University of Hawaii. While in Hawaii, he served as a Senior Staff Writer for the University of Hawaii's Kaleo Weekly. Prior to his work at NACDL, Ian served as Membership Coordinator and Event Planner at the Marijuana Policy Project (MPP). His work at MPP included legislative analysis and fundraising for marijuana legalization campaigns during the 2016 election.
