2022 Albert J. Krieger Annual Meeting of NACDL will be held on August 10-13, 2022, at The Breakers Palm Beach, FL.

March into the pit prepared!

Sharpen your trial skills, hone your defense theory, and modernize your approach to case management with "You can't Win a Plea: Winning Trial Techniques from the Masters" in Palm Beach, Florida.

Join your NACDL colleagues from around the U.S. for the 2022 Albert J. Krieger Annual Meeting and Seminar, where you will gain practice tips, strategic insights and guidance on how to manage your case from the moment you meet your client.  This seminar will take a deep dive into effective bail strategies, thorough case investigation, creating compelling pre-trial motions, and planning for trial.  Some of the country’s most experienced trial attorneys will lead you through successful approaches to jury selection, crafting powerful opening statements, organizing direct and cross examination, incorporating persuasive techniques throughout trial, and how to drive your theory home in closing argument.  You will also get insight into how to deal with the media, as some of the most creative advocates share their successes and failures when it comes to handling the traditional press as well as social media.

In the spirit of NACDL Past President Albert J. Krieger, this seminar will spark your drive and boost your courtroom confidence:

"The criminal defense lawyer marches into the pit, often unloved by everyone in the courtroom, but with the courage, strength and mind to make our Constitution live as a vibrant being in that courtroom on behalf of someone who at that moment stands for all the principles of freedom and dignity that have been preserved in our constitution. It is a chore in many respects. It is difficult in all respects. It is tiring. It is demanding. But it is what we signed up for." – Albert Krieger

Don’t miss this great opportunity for a national networking CLE featuring the leading legal minds and trial lawyers in the country.

March into the pit prepared; start planning now for your 2022 family summer getaway at the luxurious Breakers Palm Beach Resort, where you will learn to craft your case to a “Not Guilty!” verdict.

In order to ensure the highest level of safety for our attendees, NACDL will be implementing the following safety measures at the conference:

  1. All participants will need to self-certify they have received the full dosage of a vaccine for COVID-19 prior to attending.
  2. While no longer required, all attendees are encouraged to wear a mask in public indoor settings. NACDL will have masks available for all participants at the registration desk, and signs will be displayed as a reminder to keep masks on at all times (except when eating or drinking).
  3. Hand sanitizer stations are located throughout the hotel property, including at the entrance to all meeting rooms.
  4. The seminar room will be arranged with socially distanced tables/chairs to the best of our ability.

The program agenda and faculty are subject to change.
