Cross-examination is a fundamental tool in the trial lawyer's toolbox. There is no part of trial practice that can be more difficult or rewarding, but you have to know the limitations in order to be the most effective. Attend this seminar, and you will learn how to “Tap Into Victory” for your clients by brewing a winning case through effective cross-examination.

Join your international NACDL colleagues in “Brew City” where some of the nation’s finest experts and seasoned practitioners will share their proven and time-tested methods for cross-examining; covering both basic and more advanced aspects of cross-examination. You will hone your cross-examination skills and learn to apply them across the board in your trial practice, from preparation, to conveying a story through cross, to taking down that snitch on your way to an acquittal. We'll offer specific sessions addressing methods that are common to all trials including impeaching witnesses, uncovering biases, and using technology during cross-examination, as well as how to cross some of the most challenging of witnesses - kids, experts, cops, and snitches, among others. Our expert faculty will guide you through the potentially dangerous scenarios and obstacles of cross-examination, and give you the skills to avoid them on your way to victory. Larry Pozner, the master of cross-examination, says “What Wins Your Trial is Your Cross.” He will be on-hand as the featured speaker, to debut his new lecture, "The Pozner Method: High Impact Cross Examination for Sex Assault Cases" in a special 4-hour session.

Plan now to attend NACDL's Annual Meeting in Milwaukee, a truly beautiful modern city that is becoming known as a top destination for foodies and outdoor festivals right on Lake Michigan. You don’t want to miss this one-of-a-kind event—register today!
