Public Affairs & Communications Assistant

The Public Affairs & Communications Assistant provides support, and reports directly, to the Director of Public Affairs & Communications.Qualified candidates should have an undergraduate or graduate degree in media, communications, journalism, or a related field, with an interest in criminal law and policy. The ideal candidate shares NACDL’s commitment to its mission. Excellent research skills (traditional and online) as well as superior oral and written communications skills are a must. The successful candidate will assist in translating complex issues/topics into understandable terms for news releases, newspaper and magazine articles, op-eds, and letters to the editor. The candidate will be comfortable working in a team-oriented environment.

Capital Defense Training Counsel

The National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL) is currently accepting proposals from individuals to serve as an independent contractor to coordinate one or more national trainings, conduct web-based training programs, and provide technical assistance to teams and state grantees under a grant from the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA).
