Kyle O'Dowd
Associate Executive Director for Policy

    Kyle O’Dowd is the Associate Executive Director for Policy for the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL). He is a member of the U.S. Sentencing Commission’s Practitioners’ Advisory Group and the Constitution Project’s Courts Initiative, and has written articles regarding federal criminal practice for the Federal Sentencing Reporter, the Champion, and the American Corporate Counsel Association’s Docket magazine. Before joining NACDL, he was General Counsel for Families Against Mandatory Minimums, where he lobbied Congress and the U.S. Sentencing Commission, and ran a project that raised court challenges to inflexible sentencing laws. He was a criminal defense lawyer at the firm Moffitt, Zwerling & Kemler in Alexandria, Virginia, for several years after graduating from Emory University School of Law.
