Sex Offense Legislation
H.R. 4472 (S. 1086, H.R. 3132)
On Thursday, July 27th, President Bush signed into law the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act of 2006 (H.R. 4472). Included in this new law are rules for statewide sex offender registries and Web sites. The bill also creates a National Sex Offender Registry and a National Sex Offender Public Web site, both of which are to be maintained by the Attorney General.
