Bullet Lead Analysis Task Force



The Bullet Lead Analysis Task Force, a joint project of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Innocence Network, in cooperation with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the U.S. Department of Justice, seeks cases in which FBI-conducted composite bullet lead analysis (CBLA) cases played a significant role in a conviction.

Attorneys who handled or are currently handling such a case can inform the Task Force by sending an e-mail to
bulletlead@nacdl.org or by U.S. mail to the address below, providing:
  • Attorney name and contact information;
  • Name(s) of other counsel (trial and appellate);
  • Defendant’s name;
  • All court(s) and docket number(s) pertaining to the case and date(s) of trial.

Please do not send pleadings, transcripts or any other materials at this time, as we cannot accept responsibility for such documents.

Information will be held in confidence.
