Indianapolis - A man is suing court officials for keeping him in prison for more than two years after DNA results cleared him of rape conviction.

Harold Buntin, 38 years old, filed a lawsuit against Marion Superior Court, the county clerk and the county. He said they mishandled a judge's order that exonerated him in 2005.

Buntin was released in April 2007 after spending 13 years in prison. He'd been convicted of robbing and raping a clerk at an Indianapolis dry cleaners in 1984. His family later paid for two DNA tests that proved he was not guilty.

He wasn't released until court officials found a bailiff or clerk failed to properly enter and distribute the order clearing him.
