Ultimate Voir Dire

CLE Credits: Up to 15.5 general including 1 ethics*

This program is designed to provide criminal defense counsel with the most effective voir dire approaches and techniques needed to conduct comprehensive jury selection. It will identify and address the objectives of voir dire and bring advanced and modern insight from some of the most knowledgeable jury selection experts in the country—making it especially applicable to both newer and veteran practitioners.

You will specifically learn how to find jurors that may be favorable to your client’s case, to properly convey the defense’s reasoning, framing of factual issues, how to humanize the client, building trust and credibility with the jurors, how to determine biases, prejudices and attitudes of jurors, and how to effectively set forth and convey legal principles.

Special emphasis will include voir dire under time pressures, proper utilization of questionnaires, building rapport with your venire, making a Batson challenge, developing challenges for cause to maximize peremptory challenges, and much, much more.
