Defending Difficult Cases: Women & Children as Witnesses

CLE Credit Hours:  Up to 6 general credits

Program Summary:
This seminar will help you take-on and win some of the most difficult cases. Learn to win cases with the most sympathetic of prosecution witnesses: women and children. Psychologists and lawyers will present information on how to persuade a jury that women and children do lie in sexual assault and domestic violence cases. The presentations will include specifics on child development, techniques for cross-examining children, using electronic tools such as Facebook and My Space for preparing cross-examination, demystifying prosecution experts for the jury and preparing the successful direct examination of your client at trial. The faculty includes experts and lawyers who have successfully defended jury cases.
