2003 NACDL Affiliate elections
This year, affiliate elections have new significance. At the 2002
NACDL Annual Meeting in San Francisco, the membership voted to amend the
Bylaws so the affiliate positions on the NACDL Board would be 3-year
terms same as the other seats. It is important that NACDL’s Board have
energetic and outspoken representation from the affiliates, so please
consider nominating someone from your local affiliate. The elections are approaching, so now is the time to consider who
your potential nominees might be. In early May, I will call on all
affiliates to submit names; each affiliate will be entitled to nominate
only one person as a candidate. Please take the following requirements
into consideration when making your decision: To qualify for nomination,
a candidate must be a member in good standing with both NACDL and the
affiliate making the nomination. They need to have attended at least
three NACDL meetings within the 24 months preceding n
