PACDL Honors Capital Habeas Unit
At its recent annual meeting, the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal
Defense Lawyers (PACDL) presented the Capital Habeas Units of
Pennsylvania’s Federal Public Defender Office with its highest honor,
the Liberty Award. Other honorees included state Sen. Stewart J.
Greenleaf, who received the President’s Award for his lifetime
commitment to criminal justice issues and the formation of the
Pennsylvania Innocence Commission, and Royce L. Morris, who was honored
with the Josel Advocacy Award for his numerous pro bono representations.
