Affiliate Ballots Mailed; Make Your Vote Count
NACDL is electing two Affiliate members to serve a three-year term on
its Board of Directors and the Council of Affiliates. The Council of
Affiliates is comprised of four Affiliate-elected representatives whose
primary responsibility is to represent the interests of all affiliated
organizations to the NACDL Board. To qualify for the elected seats, each
nominee must be a member in good standing with both NACDL and the local
Affiliate that nominated them.
The ballots containing each candidate’s statement of qualifications were
mailed to all Affiliate executive directors and presidents on May 29,
2007. Each Affiliate is entitled to cast two votes in the election
(provided they are not cast for the same person) and may determine its
own procedure for casting votes. The two candidates receiving the
majority of votes are elected to the NACDL Board of Directors for a
