2007 NACDL Affiliate Elections

Do you know someone from your state organization who can effectively
speak on behalf of your interests and those of other affiliate
organizations? Why not nominate them to the Council of Affiliates and a
seat on the NACDL Board of Directors? We are currently seeking affiliate
nominations for two upcoming vacancies for the 2007 – 2010 Board seats
dedicated to affiliate representatives. It is important that NACDL’s
Board have energetic and outspoken representation from the affiliates,
so please nominate someone from your local organization.
Because the elections are fast-approaching, now is the time to consider
who your potential nominees might be. In early May, I will call on all
affiliates to submit names; each affiliate will be entitled to nominate
only one person as a candidate. To qualify for nomination, a candidate
must be a member in good standing with both NACDL and the affiliate
making the nomination. He or she needs to have attended at least three
