Young Talent Advances NACDL’s Mission and Prepares for the Future (Inside NACDL)

The summer presents an opportunity for serious-minded students to augment their education with real-world experience that can help them chart a course for the future. NACDL is fortunate to participate in this process. Each summer the Association welcomes a class of law clerks and interns, both undergraduates and law students, who spend their summer as an integral part of the NACDL team. This year, under the leadership of National Security Counsel Mason Clutter and Indigent Defense Counsel John Gross, NACDL hosted eight outstanding students drawn to the Association’s mission.
In addition, NACDL sponsors a Minority Law Fellows Program designed to afford law students contemplating a career in criminal defense an opportunity to intern with experienced practitioners. The program operates under the auspices of NACDL’s Diversity Task Force chaired by NACDL Board Member Geneva Vanderhorst of Washington, D.C.
