Bill of particulars, retrial, media and evidentiary issues
This column inaugurates a new feature for The Champion
magazine, in which notable motions that have been added to the NACDL
Motions Bank or are available from other online sources will be briefly
described. If you are dealing with a similar issue in a pending case, we
hope having immediate access to recent motions prepared by other
lawyers will help you draft some winning motions. But the success of
this endeavor depends on the willingness of NACDL members to share their
work product. If you’ve prepared a motion of which you are particularly
proud, and you think it might be useful to fellow criminal defense
practitioners, e-mail a copy of it to me at geralduelmen@aol.com, and it
will likely be featured in a future column.
