Candace Crouse is an attorney with the Cincinnati law firm, Strauss Troy. She represents individuals and businesses at all levels of criminal law in federal and state courts. Candace practices regularly in federal district court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, as both retained and appointed counsel. Candace grew up in Morgantown, West Virginia, and graduated Summa Cum Laude from West Virginia University with a B.A. in International Studies and German. She went on to earn her J.D. from The Ohio State University College of Law, where she was a managing editor of The Ohio State Law Journal and a member of the Civil Rights Moot Court team. She externed for the Honorable Algenon L. Marbley, U.S. District Court Judge for the Southern District of Ohio during her third year of law school. After being admitted to the Ohio Bar in November 2000, Candace clerked for the Honorable Frederick P. Stamp, Jr., U.S. District Court Judge for the Northern District of West Virginia. She currently serves as a Sixth Circuit Vice Chair for the NACDL Amicus Committee and the President of the Greater Cincinnati Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.
