Goldman Elected to Defense Bar Leadership



Denver, CO, Aug. 8, 1998 -- Prominent New York "lawyer's lawyer" Lawrence S. Goldman, Goldman & Hafetz, will be sworn in today, August 8, as 1998-1999 Treasurer of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers at the Association's Annual Meeting.

While serving as the New York region's Lawyers' Assistance Strike Force coordinator, Larry Goldman has represented or secured legal counsel for 25 NACDL members unfairly threatened with legal or ethical sanctions for conduct arising out of their zealous representation of clients accused of crime.

Previously, Mr. Goldman served as the Association's Secretary and as a member of the Board of Directors.
