

Denver, CO, Aug. 8, 1998 -- Seattle attorney Irwin H. Schwartz will be sworn in today as 1997-1998 Treasurer of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers at the Association's Annual Meeting at the Westin Hotel here in Denver.
Mr. Schwartz is a litigator concentrating in the representation of companies and persons in federal criminal and related civil matters, including antitrust violations, tax offenses, government program fraud, bank fraud, money laundering, Export Control Act violations and environmental crimes. His work includes representing witnesses before federal grand juries, trial and appellate litigation. His clients range from Fortune 500 companies to small businesses, their officers and their employees.
Although based in Seattle, Mr. Schwartz has appeared in federal courts from coast-to-coast and border-to-border. He is a Past President of the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and previously has served as the Association's Treasurer and Secretary and on NACDL's Board of Directors.
