This year's 6th Annual Defending Sex Crimes training seminar, "Zealous Advocacy in Sexual Assault & Child Victims Cases" will be our best yet, packed with topics and speakers you won't want to miss!
Far too often, defending charges of sexual assault and child abuse can be daunting--but with the right tools, it doesn't have to be.
The government has the power and limitless resources to employ the full machinery of the state to scrutinize our clients: forensic computer analysis, DNA, forensic interviews of children, sexual assault exams, risk evaluations, and seemingly endless investigative techniques. Now is the time to equip our arsenal and fight back.
When it comes to representing a client accused of sexual misconduct, defense lawyers need to stay on the cutting-edge of science and the art of persuasion – while giving particular consideration to wide-spread and ill-informed public fears. With the 24-hour news cycle focusing the public’s attention on sex offenses, it has become increasingly more challenging to persuade jurors that our clients are indeed not guilty.
This comprehensive training is designed to help criminal defense practitioners stay ahead of the curve. It will cover the latest information and practical techniques in defending cases involving DNA evidence, forensic psychology, and computer forensics. Our nationally-renowned faculty will also discuss making the most of your persuasive powers in voir dire, jury argument, handling the press and in negotiations.
Much like all NACDL programs, this event also presents the unique opportunity to develop both professional and personal contacts where you can experience the camaraderie of being with criminal defense lawyers from all around the world.
Don’t miss this exciting educational opportunity. Attend this highly-rated one-of-a-kind NACDL seminar and leave with a better understanding of sex crimes cases in order to effectively represent your clients before, during, and after trial.
Make your plans to join us at Planet Hollywood Hotel in Las Vegas, November 19-20, 2015—register today!
