NACDL News: Board Members Approve Draft Domestic Drone Legislation
By Ivan J. Dominguez
NACDL News columns.
On February 23, NACDL’s Board of Directors approved NACDL’s Fourth Amendment Committee’s draft domestic unmanned aircraft (aka “drones”) legislation. This legislation would prohibit unwarranted law enforcement use of unmanned aircraft except in very limited circumstances. The legislation will be used in NACDL’s advocacy work on law enforcement use of domestic drones and will serve as a template that is available to state and federal legislators.
A link to the draft legislation is available via the “Other Fourth Amendment Resources” link at www.nacdl.org/fourthamendment.
